To highlight the key information and organize the ideas on a paper, an outline has to be made. It is a listing of the main points of the document.
Each main heading can have a sub heading to show the train of thought. It merely summarize in a few words how the thoughts were grouped.
Making an outline helps the writer concentrate on the focal point of each heading. The flow of writing is more coherent and effective as the relevant
ideas are retained and the weak ones are removed. The paper is more organized and helps the writer to illustrate more the main points of the paper.
The main heading contains the broad idea while the subheading should be precise. The content of the paper is based on the outline so make sure that
related ideas are grouped together. There are different ways to make an outline. You can use letters, numbers, Roman and Arabic numerals. Headings
are always presented in a sequential order.
